We’re a family of ‘mineral collectors’: dozens of pebbles found on beaches, in rivers and by lakes still decorate our house today.
Each stone tells the story of a walk, a shared moment of joy, a wondrous discovery.
The Interest of an Adventure Born of a Dream
In 2010, one magical night changed our destiny. Ursula, my wife, had a dream so clear, so powerful that it was impossible to ignore: we were to open a mineral shop. After some understandable hesitation (who starts a business based on a dream?), we embarked on this extraordinary adventure, with Boutique Pierres & Merveilles, in Crest, in the Drôme, a french department.
This dream was impossible without the values we hold dear: ethics, cooperation with producers and craftsmen, and gratitude to Nature.
Today, we can say that it was one of the best decisions of our lives! Our eyes still sparkle at these wonders of the Earth, and this passion is naturally passed on to all our customers.
After 12 successful years in a traditional shop, the desire for new family adventures led us to a new chapter. In 2021, I followed in my grandfather’s footsteps and we settled in Switzerland, in the magnificent canton of Vaud…
The desire for excellence and authenticity
Today, KymaStones offers you much more than just a boutique: we have created a private shop on the Lake Geneva Riviera, 20 minutes from Lausanne, between Vevey and Montreux. Our exceptional natural stones are selected with the same love we had for our first beach pebbles!
My passion goes beyond sales: I continue to provide rational advice and training on the benefits of stones. My onlinecourses are proving increasingly popular, and you’ll probably bump into me at a mineral or wellness fair near you! (If not, I’m probably in the process of creating a new original piece of natural stone jewellery in my workshop!)
